A Site Crash, Revival, and Updates

A Site Crash, Revival, and Updates

I have a few announcements I want to talk about this morning. First, I experienced a crash last night that stressed me out more than I want to admit. I was using a social media plugin to help readers share content. Needless to say, it had a bug. I had to go into recovery mode this morning (after spending about twelve hours freaking out because, of course), and fix the issue.

Now that that’s out of the way (PHEW!), I have to figure out a BETTER social media tool to use at the bottom of each of my posts . . . With no bugs. That will take a little research, but I’m confident I’ll come up with a solution.

I performed two other site updates this morning, as well:

  • In addition to the nDash and Scripted hiring icons, I also made one for ClearVoice. You can find that in the sidebar.
  • I added a section for the nDash content I’m selling through their publishing platform to my sidebar. I’ll develop a separate page for it once I reach five pieces of published content. In the meantime, I want it front and center.

As part of my Saturday morning routine, I also published and sent out this week’s edition of Working Freelance Writer’s newsletter. If you’re not following the publication (I encourage you to do so!), you can read the newsletter here:

Working Freelance Writer: (Issue #5) An Exciting Announcement

We’re experiencing a record-breaking heatwave in Maine today. So, I’ll be parked in front of the air conditioner in my office or at the end of my couch all day today. (Yes, with a giant water bottle nearby!!)
